Born in Arlington, Texas and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I grew up drawing anything and everything, as I imagine most artists do. I was blessed to have been raised in a home that taught me to be whatever it was that I was created to be.
I currently live in northern California with my wife, 2 children and various pets.

...the paintings
My hope for the paintings is that something new can be found each time someone looks at a painting. A new branch, leaf, reflection, shadow... I want the paintings to be a constant discovery.
I paint whatever captures my eye. Whether the painting is of an automobile, landscape or fountain, the one thing that unites them is the detail.
Everyone can remember the pictures that were hanging in their house when they were a kid. With each painting that I create, I am aware of the thought that somewhere there is a child that is going to see this painting and maybe even live with it.
What do I want that child to see when they look at my paintings?
I want their imaginations to be captured by the place that is depicted, by the design of an object, by the color, the reflections...and I want them to see that we have all been given a special gift. The gift is not something we created on our own or even asked for, but was given to us freely. I want those who see my paintings to be inspired to find and use their gift for the sheer joy of it.
